IUAV summer workshop – from 13rd june to 8th july 2011
Design and Arts Faculty – Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia – IUAV.
A multidisciplinary workshop by Cibicworkshop, Aldo Cibic e Tommaso CorĂ .
In recent years we have developed new project ideas trying to identify new needs in a deeply changing social and economic environment.
The Rethinking Happiness project, presented at the Biennale of Architecture in Venice, is the result of a research on a design model that addresses critical issues and opportunities of the world today.
These reflections are part of a common setting from the quality of the places in landscape to relationships between people, through a multidisciplinary approach that can make these ideas feasible. The design theme of this workshop will be to develop a settlement built at a farm.
This theme aims to show that building a community having the goal of a high level of sharing and higher energy and food self-sufficiency is possible.
The results of the workshop will be debated in a series of meetings on the theme of landscape and community that will be held at the Festival “Comodamente”, in Vittorio Veneto, from 2nd to 4th of September 2011.
The workshop blog (only italian) is: coltivarecomunita.cibicworkshop.com
